Pricing & Budget

How much does a website cost in Canada?
At SHO Tech Solutions, custom small business websites start at $1,200 CAD. This includes mobile-first design, SEO foundations, a contact form, and up to 5 pages. More complex sites with custom functionality are scoped and quoted individually — just describe what you need in the quote form. All prices are in Canadian dollars with GST applied where required.
How much does a Shopify store cost in Canada?
Our Shopify builds start at $1,800 CAD. That covers store setup, custom product page design, brand integration, payment gateway configuration, and shipping setup — handed to you fully ready to sell. Shopify's own monthly subscription fee (billed directly by Shopify) applies separately and starts at around $49 CAD/month for their Basic plan.
Are there any hidden fees?
No. We quote a fixed price upfront before any work begins. The only additional costs would be third-party services you choose to use — such as a domain name, web hosting, or Shopify's monthly subscription. We flag every one of these before you approve the quote, so there are no surprises on the invoice.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. For most projects we split payments into a 50% deposit to begin and 50% on delivery. For projects over $5,000 CAD, we can discuss milestone-based payment schedules. Get in touch and we'll structure something that works for your budget and timeline.

Website Design & Development

How long does it take to build a website in Canada?
Most small business websites are completed in 5–10 business days from the point we receive your content and assets. Turnaround depends on how quickly we get your text, images, and approvals — the faster you provide them, the faster we launch. Shopify stores typically take 10–15 business days, and custom web platforms are scoped individually during the discovery phase.
Do I need to provide content and images?
For most projects, yes — you know your business best. We'll give you a clear content brief so you know exactly what to prepare, and we'll advise on copy structure throughout. If you need professional copywriting or photography sourced, mention it in your quote request and we'll include options.
Will my website be mobile-friendly and fast?
Every website we build is mobile-first — designed for small screens first and scaled up to desktop. We also optimise for Google's Core Web Vitals: load speed, layout stability, and interactivity. A fast, mobile-friendly site isn't an optional extra; it's the baseline we build to on every project, because Google ranks it and users expect it.
Do you handle SEO for websites you build?
All our builds include on-page SEO foundations: semantic HTML, meta titles and descriptions, canonical tags, a sitemap.xml, robots.txt, structured data markup, and correct heading hierarchy. We don't sell ongoing SEO retainers, but the sites we deliver are technically clean and ready to rank from day one.
Can you redesign or migrate my existing website?
Yes. Whether you're on WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, or a custom build, we can redesign or migrate your site. We'll review what you have, discuss what's working and what isn't, and build something that performs better. Your existing domain and hosting can usually be kept — you won't lose your Google rankings by switching to us.
Do you build websites in Saskatchewan and Ontario?
Yes, and across all of Canada. Our team works remotely, so we build websites for businesses in Saskatchewan, Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta, and every other province. You don't need to be in the same city as us — everything from the brief to the final handover happens online, with fast response times throughout.

Shopify & Ecommerce

What exactly is included in a Shopify store setup?
Our Shopify builds include: theme selection or custom theme design, your brand colours and typography applied throughout, up to 20 product listings configured, payment gateway setup (Stripe or Shopify Payments), shipping zones and rates configured for Canada, and a walkthrough so you can manage inventory and orders yourself. Everything is tested before handover.
Can you migrate my existing online store to Shopify?
Yes. If you're on WooCommerce, Etsy, BigCartel, or another ecommerce platform, we can migrate your products, collections, and customer data to Shopify. Scope and cost depend on the number of products and how your current platform exports data — include those details in your quote request for an accurate estimate.
Do you use pre-built Shopify themes or build custom ones?
Both, depending on your goals. For most small businesses, we start from a quality Shopify theme and customise it heavily to match your brand — fast and cost-effective. For brands that need a fully unique storefront with no template DNA, we can build a custom theme from scratch. We'll recommend the right approach after understanding your brief.

Print, Merchandise & Events

Do you ship print and merchandise orders across Canada?
Yes. We ship bulk print and custom merchandise to all Canadian provinces and territories. Standard print orders — flyers, leaflets, posters, business cards — ship within 5–7 business days of design approval. Merchandise lead times vary by product, typically 10–14 business days for items like custom apparel, drinkware, or branded bags.
What is the minimum order quantity for print materials?
Minimums vary by product. For most print items like flyers and business cards, we can start from as low as 50 units. Banners, roll-ups, and signage are typically quoted per unit. Event merchandise works best in quantities of 50 or more to keep the per-unit cost reasonable — but tell us your quantity and we'll quote accordingly.
Can you handle merchandise for large events?
Absolutely. We fulfil orders for events with 200 or more guests. Whether you need 300 branded tote bags, 500 custom wristbands, or a mixed souvenir package — we coordinate sourcing, design, and delivery under one order. Lead time for large merchandise orders is typically 15–21 business days, so we recommend planning ahead.
Can event planners resell your services to their clients?
Yes. We work with event planners as a trade supplier — you brief us, we deliver to your client, and you manage the client relationship. We can operate under your brand if needed. If you're an event planner in Ontario or Saskatchewan (or anywhere in Canada) looking for a reliable print and merchandise partner, get in touch to discuss the arrangement.
